Summary: +30 Years:

Senior level experience in Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Portfolio Management and Mortgage Finance with particular emphasis on the Middle East, The Gulf, Egypt and Europe. On the Mortgage Finance has been for 9 years till recently the Chairman and MD of the number 1 mortgage finance company in Egypt that he has totally restructured then expanded to establish two new subsidiaries in which he built as chairman of its Leasing Company and chairman of its Real Estate Investment company. On the Commercial Banking side, has worked as Chairman, Vice Chairman, and CEO of Banks in Egypt (United Bank of Egypt, Egypt Arab Real Estate Bank), Qatar (Al Ahli Bank of Qatar) and Sudan (Egyptian Sudanese Bank). Worked in senior level positions in major Commercial Banks in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi that included being Senior Credit Officer to all lending to the Middle East, the General Manager of a bank in Bahrain, and a Regional Manager in UAE (NBAD) in charge of restructuring 5 branches with a total portfolio of $ 300 million, the review of their lending portfolio and adequate provisions. On the Investment Banking side has served as a Chairman & Managing Director of TIIA Underwriting mainly engaged in Corporate Finance Advice, M&A and Privatization with The World Bank, USAID, EC, Canadian AID and major Multinationals. Served as Deputy Chief Executive of USAID-Bechtel Privatization Project in Cairo. He has been highly successful in creating and starting up investment banking boutique (TIIA Underwriting Co and TIIA Company) and six years later subsequently sold both companies to the leading brokerage company in Egypt with substantial capital gains.  Has substantial experience in shares, bonds and funds trading and investments and started the Investment Banking Dept in NBAD.. Has developed very strong senior level contacts with Financial Institutions throughout the Middle East and Europe as he has been actively engaged with them since the early eighties. Mr. Hussein has frequently been invited by the American University in Cairo and the Institute of Bankers of the Central Bank of Egypt to lecture junior and middle level bankers on finance, valuation and the Capital Markets. He was elected twice to the board as the Secretary General of the Board of the Egyptian Capital Market Association ECMA and before that was elected twice as the Chairman of the Privatization Committee at ECMA. Also was elected as the Chairman of the International Donors Committee and Corporate Governance Committee, Chairman of the Banking, Finance and Insurance Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce –AmCham. He has been recently elected in mid-2010 as board member at the Canadian Egyptian Business Council CEBC. He has also been recently elected as Chairman of the Banking and Stock Markets Committee at the Egyptian Businessmen Association EBA. He is also a founding member of Egyptian Private Equity Association EPEA.
